  Seal Cottage is located in St Catherine's just off the A815 road at the top of Loch Fyne, opposite Inverary. Please see the map above.

Directions By Car from Glasgow

From Glasgow take the M8 motorway west towards Glasgow Airport (Paisley). Then cross the Eskine toll bridge over the river Clyde and head up the A82 passing Dumbarton and then along the banks of Loch Lomond as far as Tarbet.

From Tarbet head out toward Campbeltown on the A83, passing the little village of Arrochar and up and over the rest and be thankfull pass. Approx 5 miles further on from here, look for the left turning to Dunoon A815. (If Loch Fyne is then on your right hand side your on the right road, if it is on the left you need to turn back)

Keep following the A815 through St Catherines taking a right turn at the sign for "Arnish Cottage" and Seal Cottage is the third cottage on your left overlooking Loch Fyne.

By Car via the ferry from Glasgow

From Glasgow take the M8 motorway west to Gourock then choose from the following ferries. Caledonian Macbrayne and Western Ferries connect Dunoon and the Cowal peninsula with 2 ports in Gourock, both ferries run every hour. Both ferry crossings are approx 30 minutes, inexpensive and very pleasurable.

From Dunnon, Seal Cottage is a 20 minute drive, following the A815 North out of Dunoon, passing Pucks Glen, the Benmore Botanic Gardens, then along side Loch Eck passing the Coylet Inn and then through the small Loch side village of Strachur for a further 2 miles turning left at the sign post "Arnish Cottage" and as above Seal Cottage is the third cottage on your left overlooking Loch Fyne.

By Air

By Rail

Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street stations are served by direct Anglo / Scottish train services.

There are regular (almost every hour) day trains between London Euston and Glasgow Central between 0700 and 1800 hours (5 hours approx journey time)

There is also a daily direct sleeper service operated by Scotrail from London Euston departing (approx 2345 hours) arriving in Glasgow Central at (approx 0715 hours) and a corresponding return service departing from Glasgow Central (approx 2340 hours) arriving London Euston at (approx 0700 hours).
